Intelligent Emails

Recently, I came across this blog entry about online dating at OKCupid.com. The article is basically a bunch of data and conjecture about what kinds of emails seem to yield responses in online dating in terms of such concepts as message length and brevity. Interesting stuff, but what I found most interesting is the following chart, which is a "sneak peek" of the next entry.

Apparently, OKCupid has been analyzing keyword content in messages that go through their email system and calculating the response data. This could be extremely valuable information to anyone who ever opts to meet women online. What I find particularly interesting here (assuming any degree of accuracy) is that in spite of our current age of common informality and rampant shorthand communication, the chart above seems to imply that (in spite of zombie fandom) women online tend to respond better to men who treat them like intelligent and coherent thinking human beings...

...Go figure. ;)
